As a designer at Downstream Portland, I designed a physical city made from MDF, combined with a digital projection that brought it to life. On top of this, I designed a holographic-style interface to show how Hitachi Vantara uses data to improve smart cities. Technologies like IoT, big data, analytics, and video intelligence were translated into clear visuals, such as icons, objects, and moving data. The project follows a simple story: data flows through the city and helps make it safer, more efficient, and easier to live in. As the story unfolds, different parts of the city react and change.
