I’m David Giling, a digital designer from the Netherlands.

A 30-year-old designer creating UX/UI experiences for e-commerce, websites and digital brands, with a background in Communication and Multimedia Design from the HvA in Amsterdam.

About me

Before focusing on e-commerce, I worked at design agency Downstream, where I focused on environmental and experiential design. This experience helps me look beyond visuals and bring storytelling into my work.

After Downstream, I joined the TCS Pace Port, where I worked as a UX/UI designer in design sprints, collaborating with teams to develop concepts and prototypes for digital products.

Before focusing on e-commerce, I worked at design agency Downstream, where I focused on environmental and experiential design. This experience helps me look beyond visuals and bring storytelling into my work.

After Downstream, I joined the TCS Pace Port, where I worked as a UX/UI designer in design sprints, collaborating with teams to develop concepts and prototypes for digital products.

I later gained experience at North Actionsports Group (NAG), where I further developed my knowledge of e-commerce and Shopify. I worked for NAG for four years as a Digital Designer. I was responsible for two things improving the UX and UI, as well as maintaining the brand’s online presence for 3 webshops (mysticboarding.com, northactionsports.com & northwindsurfing.com).

My work included creating landing pages, keeping the homepage up to date, designing email campaigns, and producing social media assets for e-commerce campaigns such as Black Friday and gift guides. I was also responsible for photo selection for each new season launch. Everything online was me.

Alongside this, I work as a freelance UX/UI designer, mainly focusing on creating and improving websites and Shopify experiences.
